Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the weight of sin in your life? Have you ever felt like you are living in a hostile world to God and His ways? The good news is that the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. In the letter to Titus, Paul teaches us how to live in the grace of God, with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.

Verse 12 of chapter 2 in Titus instructs us to turn away from godless living and sinful pleasures. Pursuing our desires and pleasures can be tempting, but these things only lead to emptiness and dissatisfaction. We are called to live in the world but not be of the world. We are to live with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God. This means living in a way that is pleasing to Him and not giving in to the temptations of this world.

Living with wisdom means seeking God's guidance in our decisions and actions. It means acknowledging that we do not have all the answers but trusting in God's wisdom to guide us. Living with righteousness means living in a way that aligns with God's commands and values. It means pursuing justice, mercy, and love. Living with devotion to God means making Him the center of our lives. It means putting Him first in everything we do and seeking to know Him more.

In verse 14, we learn that Jesus gave His life to free us from sin and to make us His very own people. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become His children and are called to live for Him. We are called to be committed to doing good deeds, to living a life that honours God and blesses others.

As believers, we have the responsibility to teach these things and encourage others to do them. We have the authority to correct others when necessary and to hold each other accountable. Let us not take this responsibility lightly, but let us be faithful stewards of the grace of God.

Living in the grace of God means turning away from godless living and sinful pleasures and living with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God. It means living a life that honours God and blesses others. Let us embrace the grace of God and live in a way that brings glory to Him.

Manifesting God's Word: The Power of Preaching and Living Out the Message - Titus 1:1-3
Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, 3 but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior; - The New King James Version (Tt 1:1–3). The Importance of Sound Doctrine: Lessons from Titus 1:10-16
10 For many rebellious people engage in useless talk and deceive others. This is especially true of those who insist on circumcision for salvation. 11 They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for money. 12 Even one of their own men, a prophet from Crete, has said about them, “The people of Crete are all liars, cruel animals, and lazy gluttons.”* 13 This is true. So reprimand them sternly to make them strong in the faith. 14 They must stop listening to Jewish myths and the commands of people who have turned away from the truth. 15 Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.
